Investment Banking Profile • Global Markets Operations and Middle Office (GMO&MO) (Foreign Exchange Confirmations/ Settlements)

Roles & Responsibilities:

·        Primary responsibility is Confirmation and Settlement of Foreign Exchange trades with the counterpartie
s.
·        Ensuring payments are made as per the Currency cut-offs and released as per counterparties Standard Settlement Instructions (SSI’s).
·        Handling the accounts effectively & efficiently with error free work.
·        Providing training to the new associates & integrating them in the team.
·        Sending the confirmations to the counterparties via SWIFT MT300 (Foreign Exchange confirmation), following up with counter parties for their side confirmations if not received on time as a pro-active measure.
·        Checking with Traders/Brokers & Reuters Information system for trade discrepancies and settling the payments prior to currency cutoffs.
·        Investigating the trade discrepancies if any, following up with counterparties via phone, E-mail, fax etc; providing timely resolution and release the payments as per client request.
·        Providing response to the onshore queries.
·        Helping the team in day to day operations.
·        Conducting Team Meetings, updating the team about new procedure and handling onshore (Line of Business) calls, responding to the queries/escalations on the weekly calls.
·        Supervising the team in absence of Team Leader. Conducting Process Training for new associates, cross training existing associates on different functions within the process
·        Identified process initiatives as JDI project on “NDF report to Asia Region” and Best practices on Automation on EOD reports for different units.
