Details –
Project Name: Walgreen’s Core Pharmacy
Management.
Description: This project mainly deals with USA
health care domain, one of the leading pharmacy solution provider – Walgreens. Walgreens has a chain of pharmacy over 8000+
stores. It started in late 1980’s and now one of the leading pharmacy solution
providers. Walgreens has their own pharmacy benefit management software tool
known as “Intercom Plus”. The registered pharmacist in the Walgreens store uses this tool to register new patient, fill
their prescriptions, check the allergic or other health conditions. If required
they can suggest substitution of prescribed medicines after going through
doctor’s recommendations. The claim process can also be handled through this tool.
As a team we provide the development and enhancement of this tool IC+.
As a Team Member of
the more than 30+ team members, responsible for the following –

Design, develop, test and maintain the release
specific requirements and enhancements
·
Developed several Pro* C programs to
implement the business logic.
·
Created several Tuxedo view files to
communicate the data fields between the client and tuxedo service.
·
Performed a UD testing to unit test the
tuxedo services.
·
Coordinate with the system test team to
resolve/fix issues opened during the system test.

Developed several shell scripts(batch
jobs) with embedded sql queries to manipulate the tables and print the log
file.

Description : This project is to comply
the IC+ functionality with DEA(Drug Enforcement Act) requirements
to begin accepting controlled eRx
prescriptions. After this Walgreens will comply with pre-assessment certification.
Deliverables :
- Several tuxedo services have
been changed to accept controlled drug eRx if and only prescriber has
valid digital signature.New XML tags has been introduced to send digital
signature by third party vendor.
- One batch job is also updated to
move newly added fields from one table to another to archive the data

Module Name : PROMISE GSK
Description : PROMISE is a mail order pharmacy of
walgreens which is used to dispensed drugs to registered patients through mails.PROMISE
GSK will allow walgreens to modify their inbound and outbound process to
process mail order prescriptions for the patient assistance programs for GSK
UPI's VIV001 and GSK002.
Deliverables :
- Modify two batch jobs(shell scripts) to
include two newly added patient assistance programs in outbound shipping confirmation process and
outbound address update process.
- Modify two existing
tuxedo services(pro*C files) to add exception letter templeate s and
generate exception letters for new patient assistance programs.
- Change the logic of batch
job to generate a monthly report on the basis of UPIs not as per Date.
- Create DBIs for newly
added programs to update the database.

information
Description: ACOB(Automatic coordination of Benefits)
is a new functionality for retail as well as mail order pharmacy in Walgreens.ACOB
provides a solution for managing benefit payments and to alleviate manual
efforts at the store level. ACOB provide the store staff with more flexible and user friendly
billing defaults and patient third party plan set up

from database.
- Modify two batch jobs to
include patient information in patient purge as well as store recovery
process.

Module Name: Bin Management
Description: This project is to prevent/minimize the
overflow of Rx’s in the pharmacy bins. This will be achieved by modifying the existing bin
configuration algorithm to be based on Rx count rather than patient count In
addition, a new automated monthly process will gauge if current pharmacy
activity justifies a request to the pharmacy manager to revisit bin
configuration.
Deliverables:
- A new monthly central batch process
that will select all stores that have been identified as needing Bin
Management in the current month, and email it to the business user group.
- A new central tuxedo
service that will save stores that have been identified as needing to run
Bin Management.
- A new daily
local batch process that will Select and Save Sold Rx Data from the
Previous Day. Identify if Compass
Request Check should be done. (2nd Wed. of each Month or Override).

Name:eRx10.6
Description:
This projects is to certify Walgreens as per new standards from NCPDP. As
per NCPDP certain extra information
has to be send about prescriber and drug. In regard needs to handle this
request at backened end. This involves modification in database and web app.

Modify existing tuxedo service to fetch the incoming data from srevice
broker and populate the data in database.
2.
Based on the version of surescript version needs to send the data back
to prescriber on refill of an Rx.

from third party(Surescript). The image will be automatically created and saved
at store.

Fetch the Image data from central and save it into local database.

Name:eRx Full Automation Phase 2
Description:
This module involves the automation of electronic prescription data coming from
third party(Surescript). The data will be automatically populated in the script
entry window of IC+ application. All the the verification of the data will be
done automatically without manual intervention. The patient data will be
updated and registered automatically.
Deliverables:
1.
Modify existing tuxedo service to fetch the incoming data from srevice
broker and populate the data in database.
2.
Create new tuxedo service to handle the process.
